VISAKHAPATNAM: Jindal South West Aluminium Limited has allayed the fears expressed by some sections that the supply of water to the company would have an adverse impact on the surface or groundwater in the vicinity of the alumina refinery in S. Kota mandal of Vizianagaram district. In a statement, Head Projects R.C. Swain said the 8 MGD of water required by the plant would be supplied from the GVMC Godavari Project through a dedicated pipeline from take off point of GVMC to the factory premises and as such there would be no contamination of other water sources.
