CHENNAI: The State Planning Commission on Monday held a meeting with the agriculture advisory committee. It discussed issues relating to the Irrigation Development, remunerative prices for agriculture produce, storage space for harvested crops and issue of crop loans to farmers at subsidised rates. The deliberations would come in handy for the Commission while preparing the final report for the 11th Five Year Plan. Commission Vice-Chairman M. Naganathan, advisory committee vice-chairman K.S. Alagiri and Member Secretary of the Commission Girija Vaidyanathan took part in the meeting.
