Algerian film festival held

CHENNAI : The International Cine Appreciation Forum, in association with the Embassy of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, organised an Algerian film festival here on Monday.

Ambassador of Algeria Noureddine Bardad Daidj inaugurated it.

He said Algerian cinema, despite the moderate number of films produced, was recognised internationally.

He added that Indian cinema had a huge fan following among Algerians. Chief Commissioner of Income Tax C.R. Ravichandhran and actor Revathi were present.
