Farmer ends life

NIZAMABAD: A farmer Pallepu Rajaiah (55) of Yellampet in Machareddy mandal committed suicide by consuming pesticide at his residence late on Tuesday night. He owed loans to the extent of Rs.1.50 lakh. - Staff Reporter

Two held, jewellery, weapons recovered

ANANTAPUR: The Kalyanadurg police arrested two persons for their alleged role in murders, robberies, extortions, chopping of orchards and other criminal acts near the bus station in Kalyanadurg on Wednesday. One kg of gold jewellery, one kg of silver jewellery, two tapanchas, seven cartridges and Rs. 10,000 in cash were recovered. . - Staff Reporter

Two foreigners held

ANANTAPUR: Two Kazhakstan nationals were arrested at Puttaparthi on Wednesday on the charge of lifting music systems from cars parked outside apartments. Two stolen car audio systems were recovered. Two auto drivers assisting the foreigners were also arrested. - Staff Reporter
