Finals of Airtel singing contest

CHENNAI: The finals of Airtel Super Singer Junior, a reality show on Vijay TV, are just round the corner. Apart from the three finalists chosen by judges, playback singers Chitra and Usha Uthup, one among six other `wild card' contestants, will make it to the finals.

Roshan (Contestant number: 05), Dhanyashree (09), Abarna (14), Vidhyalakshmi (18), Balasarangan (20) and Deepthi Suresh (06), the six (wild card) contestants, will perform in the coming episodes. They will train and perform with playback singers Anuradha Sriram and Srinivas.

Airtel subscribers could vote for their favourite contestant and help them find a place in the final round by sending a message SSJxx (xx -contestant number) to 646.

Viewers could also log on to www.indya.com and cast their vote.

Voting lines will be open between 9 p.m. on June 8 to 9 p.m. on June 10.

The reality show is telecaston Fridays and Saturdays on Vijay TV at 8 p.m.
