Police, Maoists exchange fire

KOLKATA: Policemen and suspected Maoists exchanged fire after a landmine believed to be planted by the latter exploded in front of a police jeep in the Lalgarh area of West Bengal's Paschim Medinipur district on Thursday afternoon. None was injured in the blast.
