There is also the likelihood of dust storms in some areas of the Capital. Meanwhile, Sunday began on a sultry note with air-conditioners and coolers working overtime as most chose to remain indoors. In some areas like Najafgarh in South-West Delhi, people came out on the streets to protest against the deteriorating power and water situation. They threatened to block the road, but were dissuaded by the police. At Indira Gandhi International Airport, flight operations remained normal. The operations were affected on Saturday evening as the temperature threatened to touch the 50 degrees Celsius mark.
