Landslip toll 100

DHAKA: The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on Tuesday allocated $20,000 to complement national efforts in responding to the landslip emergency in Bangladesh's southeastern Chittagong, which has caused the death of more than 100 persons and left hundreds more injured and missing. A press release here on Tuesday said the UNDP has also despatched five vehicles to support the ongoing rescue and relief operations, while a medical team has been kept in standby. — Xinhua
