Manmohan takes oath as Rajya Sabha member

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, a re-elected member of the Rajya Sabha from Assam, on Friday made an oath before Rajya Sabha Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat in the Parliament House.

UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, senior Cabinet Ministers and MPs were present on the occasion. Earlier, Kumar Deepak Das, also from Assam and sponsored by the AGP, made an oath before Mr. Shekhawat.
