KOLKATA: Rajib Basumatary and Namita Yadav of India won the individual titles in the boys’ recurve and girls’ compound sections respectively in the second Asian archery championship at the Taiwan Archery Range in Chinese Taipei on Monday. Rajib downed Wei Che Chen of Chinese Taipei 104-101 in the final. Another Indian, Prabhat Kandir, who lost to Rajib in the semifinals, took the bronze getting the better of Cheng Weng of Chinese Taipei 109-106. The junior National champion, Namita, defeated Delle Threes of Indonesia 111-108 in the final. M. Rishtha went down to Klam Yan Koon of Hong Kong 99-102 in the bronze medal match. India has won three golds, one silver and two bronze medals so far. — Special Correspondent
