Inter-district u-15 cricket from June 23

Theni: The TNCA-inter-district under-15 cricket tournament will commence simultaneously at seven centres, including Theni, on June 23.

The participating 30 teams have been divided into seven zones (five teams each in two zones and four teams each in five zones) for the league phase on 50-overs basis (first stage). The winner and runner-up of each zone (14 teams) will play two-day knockout matches in the second stage.

The seven winning teams from the second stage will play two-day matches (knock-out quarterfinals) with one team getting bye in the third stage. The fourth stage will be the semifinals (two-day matches) and the fifth stage will be the final.

Zone centres and teams: A zone (Salem): Kanchipuram, Thanjavur, Tuticorin, Salem; B zone (Theni): Nilgiris, Sivagangai, Erode, Dindigul, Theni; C zone (Tirunelveli): Thiruvarur, Karur, Tiruchirapal li, Tirunelveli; D zone (Nagapattinam): Namakkal, Dharmapuri, Virudhunagar, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam; E zone (Thiruvallur): Pudukkottai, Pondicherry, Madurai, Thiruvallur; F zone (Coimbatore): Peram balur, Thiruvannamalai, Ramanathapuram, Coimbatore; G zone (Krishnagiri): Villuppuram, Vellore, kanyakumari, Krishnagiri.
