Manipur truckers warn of strike

IMPHAL: Truckers in Manipur will launch a 12-hour strike if militants who gunned down a driver in Nagaland on Tuesday evening are not arrested by June 24.

About 20 trucks were going to Assam from here when the militants fired at the driver of the last vehicle, killing him on the spot.

It appears the militants were angry as truckers stopped paying illegal taxes.
