Bidar: Residents of Old City took out a rally here on Friday in protest against the drinking water scarcity and other civic problems. They submitted memorandums to the city municipal council Commissioner and the Deputy Commissioner. In the memorandum, they said Choubarah, zilla panchayat office, Siddi Taleem, Nayee Kaman and surrounding areas had not received drinking water for the past eight days. They threatened to launch a district-wide struggle against the CMC if adequate drinking water was not supplied every day. Congress leader Mohammad Suhail accused the officials of misusing funds. S. Mansoor Ahmed Quadri, A.N. Kirmani, Shaikh Saleem Khan, M. Gouse, Shafi Ahmed, and Akram Pahalwan sought action against CMC officials. — Staff Correspondent
