Paritala case: framing of charges put off

ANANTAPUR: The District and Sessions Court postponed framing of charges against 15 accused persons in the Paritala Ravindra murder case here on Friday to July 4, as one of them failed to appear in court.

Counsel for one the accused, U. Anandkumar Reddy alias Rice Mama, filed a petition in court seeking excuse for his client’s absence. Judge K. Gaddenna condoned the absence of the accused and postponed framing of 22 charges against the 15 accused in the case to July 4 and also extended their remand till that date. Special public prosecutor for the CBI, the agency probing the case, M. Venkoba Rao, filed a memo on May 4 with the 22 charges to be framed against the 15 accused in the case. The framing of charges has been postponed thrice already. Except Anandkumar Reddy, all the other 14 accused in the case, including G. Surynarayana Reddy alias Suri and J. Srinivasa Reddy alias Moddu Sreenu, appeared in court.
