Sangareddy: Communist Party of India (Marxist) State secretary B.V. Raghavulu refused to be a part of the UPA Coordination committee for the election of President announced by APCC president K. Keshav Rao. Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, Mr. Raghvulu expressed surprise over the inclusion of his name in the list by the APCC and said the Congress party has not consulted him before announcing the names. He pointed out that the CPI (M) legislators would totally abide by the Central party’s directions to elect Pratibha Patil. “Let them (Congress) have a committee for directing their MLAs if they wish,” he said. Mr. Raghvulu has already sent his written explanation to the PCC president.
