‘Training in Greyhounds must for constables’

Srikakulam: The Director General of Police, M.A.Basit, on Friday said 15-day training in greyhounds unit would be compulsory for all trainees who had been undergoing training as police constables. Mr. Basit who had reviewed law and order situation with the senior officials who included B.L.Meena, Inspector General of Police, (Visakhapatnam region), Jitendra, Deputy Inspector General Police (Visakhapatnam region) and Manish Kumar Sinha, Superintendent of Police (Srikakulam district) and spoke to the trainees at Thandyamvalasa, said that training in greyhounds unit would instill confidence among police constables. He had also stressed the importance of computer knowledge and other professional skills. He said that all facilities were available at the training centers and the trainees should take advantage of those facilities.
