Panel polls put off

VIJAYAWADA: Elections to the Distributory Committees (Irrigation) in seven districts have been postponed by the State Government in the wake of heavy rains and floods.

Principal secretary (Irrigation) S.P.Tucker in an order said that elections to the distributory committees in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, Karimnagar, and East Godavari that were scheduled to be held on Monday (June 25) have been postponed indefinitely.
