ANANTAPUR: State secretariat member of Communist Party of India (CPI) and former legislator K. Ramakrishna on Sunday demanded a judicial probe into the encounter of top Maoist leader Sande Rajamouli at Dharmavaram on Friday night. Speaking to newspersons at Dharmavaram he said the account given by the police was unbelievable as there were no marks of bullets fired in the surroundings of railway station and no policeman received even a small bruise. If the incident had taken place in the public actually the surroundings should have some evidence, he felt. It appeared to be a fake encounter and only a judicial probe into the incident would bring out the truth. He also sought severe punishment against those who were involved in the encounter killing. Meanwhile, the Dharmavaram police handed over the body of slain Maoist leader to his younger brother S. Ravindra, who arrived in the town along with several villagers around 1.30 am on Sunday.
