Russian aluminium giant’s smelter in Siberia

Russia’s United Company, RUSAL, the world’s top producer of primary aluminium, said on Monday it had started building a new smelter in the Irkutsk region of Siberia which will add 7.50 lakh tonnes of capacity annually.
