THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police on Monday arrested a 24-year-old youth on the charge of threatening to “blow up” the city police control room. Circle Inspector M. Radhakrishnan Nair arrested the suspect, Rajesh, from Parottukonam, 15 minutes after he allegedly made a threatening call to the police control room. The police said Rajesh made the call to the control room from a shop in the locality at 8.40 p.m. The police said the youth tried to resist arrest and was found carrying a sword. The suspect will be produced before the court on charges of criminal intimidation and violation of the Arms Act.
