Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Officers and staff of the regional rural banks in Andhra Pradesh will strike work on June 29 and 30 as part of the two-day nationwide agitation to press long pending demands which include implementation of pension and parity in all allowances and benefits.

S. Venkateswar Reddy, general secretary, said here on Wednesday that work in about 1,200 branches in the State would be affected by the strike. The staff would stage demonstrations before the head and controlling offices located in the district headquarters. The other demands of the staff are: continuing the compassionate appointment scheme in the RRBs and business-linked manpower planning, recruitment and promotions.
