Film appreciation session tomorrow

Documentary to be screened

PUDUKOTTAI: The Tirukkokarnam unit of the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers’ Association and the Pudukai Film Society, Pudukottai, will conduct a film appreciation session at the ROA hall here on June 30.

A documentary film titled ‘Yenru Thaniyum’ directed by Bharathi Krishnakumar will be screened on the occasion.

The film will highlight issues of compulsory free education for all the children below the age of 14 years and the death of 94 children in the Kumbakonam school fire tragedy.

Director Bharathi Krishnakumar, cameraman Selva and lyricist Thanikodi will participate in the session.

Representatives of the literary organisations, teachers associations and Government employees unions will share their views on the film, a press release issued here on Thursday said.
