NEW DELHI: Kripa Shankar Patel snatched a Greco-Roman gold as the Indian wrestlers ended their campaign in the Canada Cup wrestling championship on a happy note. After a poor performance in the freestyle championship, Patel led India to a decent show as it finished overall third in the Greco-Roman championship. United States and Canada took the first two spots. In the 55kg class, Patel beat American Brad Pataky, who represented New York Athletic Club. Promise Mwenga of Canada settled for the bronze medal. In the 96kg class, Anil Mann snatched bronze medal to end his Canadian sojourn with three medals. Mann had won two gold medals by winning both freestyle and Greco-Roman styles, in the Commonwealth championship at Ontario last week. The results: Greco-Roman: 55kg: 1. Kripa Shankar Patel (Ind), 2.
