AOC Centre posts big win
HYDERABAD: AOC Centre scored a convincing, 7-0 win over Youth League in the A-1 Division hockey league championship at Begumpet Police Stadium here on Thursday. The winner led 1-0 at the break. A brace each by R. Swamy and Satyaprakash and a goal apiece by C. Ramesh, Manoj Kumar and Ramandeep completed the tally for the winner.
Srinivas excels
Srinivas with 34 points fashioned Victory Playground’s 89-70 win over Wesley Junior College in the Ghousuddin memorial basketball tournament organised by City College Old Boys Basketball Club at City College here.
The second match between Jubilee Hills International Centre and Santoshnagar was abandoned due to heavy rain.
The scores: Victory PG 89 (Srinivas 34, Daniel 19, Hemanth 11) bt Wesley Jr. College 70 (David 16, Moses 12, Ambrose 10).
Shooting competitions
The Rifle Association of Ranga Reddy District will organise the third District open shooting championship in air rifle (open and peep), air pistol, .22 prone (open and peep sight), trap, skeet and double trap events from June 29 to July 1 at SAAP shooting ranges in Central University at Gachibowli here. Competitions will be held for men and women and boys and girls in different categories. Spot entries will be also accepted. — Principal Correspondent
