BHADRACHALAM: Minister for Tribal Welfare D. S. Redya Naik has mooted the idea of launching a new academic enrichment programme to help tribal students improve their performance in studies. He reviewed the tribal welfare activities sponsored by the ITDA in the sub plan area of the district on Friday. Later addressing a news conference, he said the tribal students, despite all support from the Government could not fare well in the SSC examination this year. He wanted the headmasters, teachers and wardens to shoulder the responsibility of improving the success rate in the public examinations. There were over 35,000 students on the rolls in the 70 ashram schools.
