Separate websites for town panchayats

CHENNAI: Separate websites for each town panchayat in the State have been created, says a release from the Director of Town Panchayats.

The release said there were 561 town panchayats in the State and their websites had been linked to www.townpanchayats.tn.

A website has been created for tender process for works such as road re-laying, stormwater drain, street lights, water distribution, creation of parks, renovation of bus termini and works taken up under Jawaharlal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission.

The website also contained information on works/services/purchases above Rs. 5 lakh.

Announcement regarding tender notice, drawings and tender forms can be available on websites: tenders.gov.in, tn.gov.in/tender, tn.gov.in/dtp.townpanchayats.tn.
