CANINE INSTINCTS: Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan handles a police dog prior to inaugurating a dog training school at the Kerala Police Academy at Ramavarmapuram in Thrissur on Sunday. The Minister said canine squads would be modernised as dogs played a major role in crime detection.
