Sangareddy: Siddipet legislator T.Harish Rao, addressing a dharna organised near the Collector’s office here on Wednesday in support of GO 610, wanted the people of Telangana to question the claims of the children of the employees of Andhra and Rayalaseema regions as natives of Telangana. Mr Rao said that they must be sent back along with their parents and should not be allowed to get employment as natives of Telangana. Mr Rao pointed out that the old Mulki rule, if still in vogue, would have deemed those who were not born in Telangana as outsiders. He alleged that people from Andhra region had manipulated the zonal system which made a genuine person from Telangana a non-local in zones five and six. Recruitmentwise data
Mr Rao also asked the employee unions of Telangana under the joint action committee to prepare data of all the Andhra and Rayalaseema employee colleagues working in their respective department. He said that it became highly important that they make their own research on this issue to squash the government’s claim that only a miniscule number of non-locals have to be repatriated. He demanded the government to take out details of non-locals on the basis of each recruitment done since 1975 rather than taking the permissible percentage of non-locals basing on total strength of employees in one particular department. Responding to comments of T.G.Venkatesh, Harish Rao said that people of Telangana are not factionists . “But they love if they love and in hatred they would not hesitate to take the life of the enemy” Harish said. Member legislative council R.Satyanarayana and Civil rights activist Prof Haragopal also spoke.
