Unicef appoints 35 child reporters from 13 mandals in Medak district

Prodigies all: Child reporters trained by the AIR handing over the CD of their reports to Sailaja Suman, director marketing, Prasar Bharati, Hyderabad. Also seen are Medak District Collector B.Venkatesam and State UNICEF representative Michel Saint Lot.

SANGAREDDY: The Unicef which accorded status of Child friendly district to Medak along with 15 districts all over the country today appointed 35 children as reporters from thirteen different mandals.

The District Collector B. Venkatesam presented the radio reporting team of school children trained by the All India Radio before the media.

The AIR would broadcast the first half an hour compilation of their reports anchored beginning from this Sunday. .

Unicef representative Michel Saint Lot, declared that the percentage of households using Iodized salt to 72 per cent which is highest in the state.

AIR and Doordarshan would select 10 producers out of the competitors.

Prasar Bharati would also provide required training for the selected producers.
