Panchayat workers threaten stir

Kakinada: A delegation of the IFTU affiliated district panchayat workers union on Saturday presented a memorandum to the district panchayat officer requesting immediate payment of salaries of sweepers and scavengers. They said they would be forced to go on strike from August 1 if the pending salaries are not paid by then. - Correspondent
