Deepali in semifinals

BANGALORE: Deepali Karumbaiah entered the semifinals of the girls’ under-10 singles section with a 21-4, 21-2 win over S.K.Tanvi in the Ramaiah Rajan memorial State-ranking badminton championships here on Saturday. In another quarterfinal tie, Trisha Reddy beat Apeksha Nayak 21-8, 21-11. In the under-19 girls’ singles, Apoorva Jagdale beat Juhi Hegde 21-10, 21-5 and made the quarterfinals.

The qualifying rounds were completed in the boys’ section and the main draw gets underway from Sunday.
