Eight injured in election clash admitted to GH

CHENNAI: Eight persons were admitted to the Government General Hospital following a fracas outside Pallavan House, the headquarters of Metropolitan Transport Corporation, on Saturday.

The police said one of the men sustained injuries on the head during the police lathicharge that happened there.

The others sustained minor injuries.

The police gave the names of those admitted as: Subramani (51); Someswaran (34); Chellaiah (52); Kumar (38); Sai Krishna (48); Karunanidhi (51); M.G. Kannabiran (39); and Rajendran (55).
