HYDERABAD: Members of the Bank Employees’ Federation of India, Andhra Pradesh branch, belonging to different banks on Sunday undertook hunger-strike to express solidarity with the land struggle launched by CPI(M). CITU general secretary, J. Venkatesh, while inaugurating the hunger-strike camp explained the significance of the two-month-long struggle taken up at the instance of 195 mass organisations. B. Sudhakar, general secretary of the federation, in a statement demanded allotment of house-sites and agricultural land to the poor and immediate implementation of the Koneru Ranga Rao Land Committee. He appealed to all bank employees to support the struggle.
