NEW DELHI: Taking the first step towards making Delhi airport free of water-logging, a team of officials led by Principal Secretary (Power) Rakesh Mehta visited the place on Tuesday. With the airport all set to add two more runways – one of which is expected to be ready by 2008 – building proper drainage is of high priority. Mr. Mehta said the water-logging problem at the airport was due to water coming from the surrounding villages as there are no storm-water drains there. “To solve this problem, drains would be built at Mahipalpur, Kapashera and other villages so that the water drains out ,” he added.
