BANGALORE: Nearly 200 grassroots-level Muslim workers joined the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) at a function here on Tuesday. State BSP president B. Gopal inaugurated a convention of the party in Shivajinagar here and called upon Muslims and Dalits to collectively fight against what he termed the anti-people policies of the State and Union Governments. The party would give more tickets to Muslim leaders in the next Legislative Assembly elections, he said, and called upon members of the community to join the party. Zulfiqar Hashmi, former MLA, and D.R. Roshan Mulla, State general secretary of the party were present. — Special Correspondent
