HYDERABAD: The State Government has received support from an expert committee of the Planning Commission in its efforts to check the prices of gas in Krishna-Godavari basin. The committee in its integrated energy policy report has endorsed the Andhra Pradesh Government’s stand for a market regulator for fixing the prices of natural gas in the domestic market. Informing this in his latest letter addressed to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy said the New Exploration Licensing Policy also provided for delegation of power to fix the pricing formula to a regulatory authority.
