Rovers rallies to beat Omega
BANGALORE: Rovers, Dharwad, trailing 10-18 at half-time rallied to beat Omega Basketball Club, Hassan, 40-32 in the State ‘C’ division basketball league championship for men here on Wednesday.
The KSBA ‘B’ division championship for men will begin on July 25, according to a KSBA release.
The results:
Ulsoor SC 45 (Muniranga 11) bt YMMA 21; Rovers, Dharwad 40 (Sunil 14) bt Omega, Hassan 32; Rajmahal SC 43 (Rahul 15, Jayaram 13) bt KPTCL 29.
Billiards tournament
The 35th B.S. Sampath Memorial handicap billiards and snooker tournament will be conducted by the Karnataka State Billiards Association for its members from July 21 in Bangalore. Entry fee is Rs.75 for either event and Rs.100 for both events. The last date for entries is July 17.
TT tournament
Ventures will conduct its 19th corporate table tennis tournament at the KGS Club, Cubbon Park, on July 21, 22 and 28. There will be team as well as individual events in both the men’s and women’s sections. Entries close on July 18.
Body building competition
A State-level body building competition will be held at Pandavapura in Mandya district on August 19.
The Fitness Planet at Pandavapura will conduct the tournament.
The winner will get a cash prize of Rs. 10,000.
