The Students’ Federation of India forced closer of many Government and Municipal Corporation schools in the city on Friday as part of its call for school bandh in protest against the Government’s move to wind up more than 6,600 schools in the State. It also demanded filling of 6,000 teachers posts. A rasta roko was also organised at Kancharapalem Mettu.
