Car bombs kill 85 in Iraqi city

DUBAI: Amid growing struggle for control of Kirkuk, two car bombings on Monday rocked the Iraqi city, killing 85 people and injuring 180.

The first incident occurred outside the office of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan one of the two main Kurdish parties, headed by President Jalal Talabani. Eyewitnesses said the explosion destroyed 20 cars and left a big crater. Two buildings and many shops were also damaged.
