Blueline kills one more

NEW DELHI: In yet another accident involving a Blueline bus, a 25-year-old motorcyclist was run over at Sriniwaspuri here on Tuesday. The bus driver abandoned the vehicle and fled.

According to the police, the accident took place around 9-45 a.m. when the bus plying on route 415 hit the motorcyclist on the Sriniwaspuri flyover. The victim was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead. He was later identified as Shiv Kumar.

The police said Shiv, a resident of Molarbandh in Badarpur, was unemployed. His father works for a private firm. Shiv was on his way to meet a friend at Lajpat Nagar when the accident took place.

A case of causing death due to rash and negligent driving has been registered at the Sriniwaspuri police station and efforts are on to arrest the absconding driver.
