HYDERABAD: Rural Development Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh has called for closer interaction among research institutions, universities and NGOs for accelerating rural development. Inaugurating a consultation on ‘The Areas of Cooperation and Collaboration for Rural Development Policy Formulation and Training’ at the National Institute of Rural Development here on Wednesday, he called for tackling poverty and unemployment on a priority. Congratulating V. S. Sampath, NIRD Director-General, for organising the consultation, he suggested capacity building of rural development functionaries. Earlier, R. R. Prasad, coordinator, spoke.
