VIZIANAGARAM: Alleging that the UPA Government proposed privatisation of pension grants, the JAC of employees, teachers and workers staged protest demonstrations at the Collectorate on Thursday.

Addressing a large number of employees, JAC president V. Rajagopal, while criticising the UPA Government for going back on its assurance to employees, said though the PFRDA bill was not approved by Parliament, an executive order was issued to divert pension grants to stock market. The government introduced the new scheme in September 2004 for new recruitees against interests of employees, he said, and demanded that it be scrapped.
