Funds released for repairs to irrigation tanks

VIZIANAGARAM: Collector B. Kishore said that Rs. 3 crores was released under the Prime Minister’s relief package for carrying out repairs to Panchayat Raj irrigation tanks in the district.

At a review meeting with officials on Wednesday, the Collector said that the district was one among 16 districts chosen in the State for releasing grants for strengthening tanks having 100 acres or more ayacut.
