Senior officials trying to cover up the issue, says Atmakur MLA

NELLORE: With a number of complaints pouring in regarding irregularities in the Indira Kranthi Pathakam (IKP), Atmakur MLA Kommi Laxmaiah Naidu has said that he will take up an agitation and also raise the issue in the Assembly to bring the guilty to book.

Taking a dig at the district administration, the MLA alleged that senior officials were trying to cover up the ‘irregularities’ that had taken places in the district in implementation of various schemes like loans at 25 paise interest, Community Investment Fund and old age pension. “There has been no action on errant officials despite my repeated efforts to bring the irregularities in my constituency to the notice of the Collector. The district administration has suspended only two junior employees and has not taken action against the district level official,” he said.

“In this backdrop, I will take up the whole issue to the notice of the Chief Minister’s Office as well as the Vigilance Department besides raising the issue in the Assembly.
