VIZIANAGARAM: Police registered cases under Section 188 IPC (disobedience to orders duly promulgated by a public servant) against TDP Polit Bureau member P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju, the party district president Y. Ramana Murthy, former MLAs Sobha Hymavathi and R.P. Banj Deo and a few other leaders on Thursday. According to Circle Inspector Ch. Papa Rao, Sub-Divisional Police Officer K. K. Achari gave permission to the TDP district committee to take out a rally from the party office to Ganesh Temple near the Collectorate and also submit a memorandum to the official concerned at the Collectorate by a few leaders. But, the TDP took out a rally, gathered unlawfully at the entrance gate of the Collectorate and staged a dharna there. A number of police present at the Collectorate had tough time in controlling the party cadres who tried to enter the premises.
