Varadachary passes away

BANGALORE: T. R. Varadachary (82), former Chairman of the State Bank of India, died in Bangalore on Tuesday. He had retired in 1977 after serving the banking industry in various positions.

He left behind his wife, Aimee , and a son and a daughter. His body was cremated on Wednesday.
