Not a setback, says TDP

Hyderabad: The TDP on Thursday sought to downplay its UNPA ally AIADMK’s sudden move to take part in the voting for the Presidential election, saying it would not have any impact on the future of the Third Front.

“This is not at all a setback. In coalition politics, such things do happen,” Telugu Desam Party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu said here .

Mr. Naidu said: “There are differences of opinion in all such political alliances. In UPA and NDA also, there are differences. At the local level, there might be some compulsions.” — PTI
