KIIT varsity launches new course

BHUBANESWAR: KIIT University has launched a PG Diploma Programme in Banking and Insurance Management, the first of its type in the State, from this academic year.

The course, a joint initiative of KIIT University and ICICI Bank, aims at harping on industry-academic collaboration and cooperation for the better education and understanding of banking and insurance markets for students.

The one-year programme covers the basics of banking, retail credit, corporate and business credit, rural finance, customer service and business etiquette amongst others.

This offering is a blend of Instructor Led Training (ILD), assignments and self paced e-learning and skill enhancement /stimulator lab sessions. The ILD aspect is being supported by the ICICI Bank.

The course is a sequel to the MoU signed between the university and the bank to jointly promote educational initiative in the field of banking and finance in May this year.

While outstanding graduates of this course will get an opportunity to work with the ICICI Bank, placement for all the successful graduates will be organised through the placement cell of the university.
