CHENNAI: Chief Minister and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) president M. Karunanidhi on Monday cautioned S. Ramadoss, Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) founder, against his continued criticism of the State Government. Replying to a query on the PMK leader’s criticism against the Government, particularly the severe attack on the Department of Higher Education, Mr. Karunanidhi said, “There is a limit for everything.” “As the Minister holding the portfolio belongs to his native district, Dr. Ramadoss Ayya would have expressed his views out of affection and wishing the Minister earn a good name,” he added. “Personalised attack”
To another question, Mr. Karunanidhi said general secretary of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Jayalalithaa had launched a “personalised attack” against him. Unable to reply
She was doing so, as she was unable to reply to issues raised by him with regard to the AIADMK legislators’ role in the voting during the Presidential poll. “Tirade”
There was no point in Ms. Jayalalithaa launching a “tirade” against him and the DMK even as she was not in a position to find out who were the four legislators involved in the cross voting in the Presidential election, he said.
