Awarded death sentence

TIRUPATI: In the sensational Kukkaladoddi murder case that rocked the district three years ago, the accused C. Kishore (25) has been sentenced to death. This is said to be the first death sentence awarded in Chittoor district.
Kishore was accused of murdering his friend Kalpana by ramming her head with a boulder in the forests skirting Kukkaladoddi near the Chittoor-Kadapa district border.
Kalpana succumbed to injures at SVIMS hospital four days later.
On the basis of evidences produced by the prosecution when the case came up for hearing on Tuesday, the 6th Additional District Judge sentenced Kishore to death.
